8 Software used by Ethical Hackers

If you want to become an Ethical Hacker or Penetration Tester, you need to learn following software programming languages. Today we are listing Top Programming Languages For Ethical Hackers.

The Ethical Hacker have more patience to find vulnerabilities in top websites and after that he reports the security vulnerabilities to companies.

An Ethical Hacker earns in two ways; either he earns through Bug Bounty programs or by working with Company as a Security Researcher where companies need some kind of Penetration Testing work on their products and services.

There are lot of programming languages but we are going to tell you the most important one’s to learn for Website Security, Reverse Engineering, Malware Analysis and other security testing purposes.

To become an Ethical Hacker , first you need to start from basic Web languages

1. HTML

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for creating web pages and web applications. With Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript, it forms a triad of cornerstone technologies for the World Wide Web.

2. JavaScript

JavaScript often abbreviated as JS, is a high-level, interpreted programming language. It is a language which is also characterized as dynamic, weakly typed, prototype-based and multi-paradigm. It is mostly using for client side programming.

JavaScript is the programming language of HTML and the Web. JavaScript to program the behavior of web pages. JavaScript is easy to learn.

3. PHP

PHP is a server scripting language, and a powerful tool for making dynamic and interactive Web pages.

PHP is a widely-used, free, and efficient alternative to competitors such as Microsoft’s ASP.

4. SQL

SQL is a standard language for storing, manipulating and retrieving data in databases.

In SQL teach you how to use SQL in: MySQL, SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, Postgres, and other database systems.

5. PERL

Perl is a programming language developed by Larry Wall, especially designed for text processing. It stands for Practical Extraction and Report Language. It runs on a variety of platforms, such as Windows, Mac OS, and the various versions of UNIX.

6. Python

Python is a general-purpose interpreted, interactive, object-oriented, and high-level programming language. It was created by Guido van Rossum during 1985- 1990. Like Perl, Python source code is also available under the GNU General Public License (GPL).

Python is also very much used in Kali Linux and other Pentesting Operating Systems.

7. C and C++

C  is a general-purpose, imperative computer programming language, supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope and recursion, while a static type system prevents many unintended operations. By design, C provides constructs that map efficiently to typical machine instructions, and therefore it has found lasting use in applications that had formerly been coded in assembly language, including operating systems, as well as various application software for computers ranging from supercomputers to embedded systems.

And C++ is also a general-purpose programming language. It has imperative, object-oriented and generic programming features, while also providing facilities for low-level memory manipulation.

It was designed with a bias toward system programming and embedded, resource-constrained and large systems, with performance, efficiency and flexibility of use as its design highlights. C++ has also been found useful in many other contexts, with key strengths being software infrastructure and resource-constrained applications, including desktop applications, servers (e.g. e-commerce, Web search or SQL servers), and performance-critical applications (e.g. telephone switches or space probes).

C++ is a compiled language, with implementations of it available on many platforms. Many vendors provide C++ compilers, including the Free Software Foundation, Microsoft
